About Me
About Me
I am currently the VP of Product & Engineering at JackBe. Prior to JackBe, I spent 10 years at Sun Microsystems, working on Java, J2EE, Enterprise Architecture and Web Services. I also was the lead architect from Sun to conceive, design and implement the new Java based architecture for eBay.com. I worked with many different enterprises advising, architecting, designing, and implementing highly scalable mission critical systems and applications. I am also the co-author of the acclaimed Core J2EE Patterns book which is widely adopted by the enterprise Java community of developers and architects.
In my role at JackBe, I am responsible for technology strategy, vision, research, product development and product management of Presto, our award wining Real-Time Operational Intelligence platform. I enjoy working with our highly talented distributed team of smart engineers. Collectively we have built one of the most innovative products in the enterprise software industry. I enjoy working with very smart people and love to build a team that thrives on complex challenges, innovates and delivers product and technology that solve real-world problems in the enterprise.
My current passions include user interfaces, cross-platform mobile applications, enterprise mashups, data visualization, and a few selected emerging technologies.
